2010 Lesser Male 01
Sunday, September 5th, 2010Post shed paradox!
Sunday, August 22nd, 2010Another mystery…
Saturday, August 21st, 2010Clutch bp10-5 has hatched, and it looks like we may have something of a mystery on our hands.
This little guy (yep, it's a male!) hatched out alongside three of what look like our 'normal' lessers that hatch. He looks similar to a het red lesser, but everyone I've talked to says not quite the same. You can bet he'll be going back to his mother as soon as he's breeding size to see if there really is something going on!
Paradoxical
Saturday, August 14th, 2010Look at this male hatchling, he pulled a fast one on us. He poked his head out as a normal, then mingled with his brethren, and picked up some lesser color.
He just didn't want to be a normal, and he is anything but that. This guy is gorgeous, and we can't wait until he has his first shed. Clutch picture of his mates at the end of the post.
Cheers,

Saturday, June 19th, 2010Clutch number five is out of the snake and into the incubator! This will be another clutch of lessers, but maybe with a twist?

Thursday, June 10th, 2010Not a bad first clutch…
Tuesday, June 1st, 2010Our pinstripe laid her eggs last night, and totally surprised us with an extra egg. I had counted seven eggs when I palpated her after ovulation. Not a bad first clutch at all, especially for a two year old. This is our third clutch for the year, and we should be getting a clutch a week for the rest of June.

Monday, May 31st, 2010First clutch is out!
Monday, May 17th, 2010Our first clutch is out of the eggs! There's some GREAT looking lessers in this clutch. Hopefully any more lessers we hatch out this year look just as good.
Pipped!
Thursday, May 13th, 2010Eggs!
Sunday, March 14th, 2010First clutch of the year! And she was bred to our Lesser male none the less! The past two years our girls have always been a few days to a week late in laying their eggs, imagine my surprise when I pulled open her tub this morning and saw eggs right on schedule! Now for the longest two months of the year to start.

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010Breeding projects updated!
Saturday, February 6th, 2010After spending four or five hours fiddling with the php code behind our breeding projects page I've finally got it pretty much completely up to date! I've got one pairing left to add to it, but I need to get an updated profile picture taken of the female as the last ones that we took of her were when she was a hatchling.
This pairing should be interesting! I originally got this girl with the sole intention of pairing her up with a black pastel, but after seeing this thread, I just had to throw our lesser in with her. If the lessers come out looking anything like the ones Anthony posted, I'll be one happy camper.
First ovulation!
Tuesday, January 26th, 2010Not only is this the first ovulation of the season for us (as far as I know) but this is also the first ovulation that we've actually managed to catch! She's been bred mainly by our lesser, but there were a few times that the enchi and the pastel got in there with her near the beginning of the season and last season.
Kingpins in the making?
Saturday, January 2nd, 2010Hope everyone had a good holiday! We've been pretty busy around here and time has been flying by. Not a whole lot of news around here, most of the ball pythons are still locking up. No ovulations as of yet, but there is one girl who should be getting close. We were hoping to produce some kingpins this year, but our big pinstripe girl hasn't seemed too interested in the lesser. Throwing another girl in there with them seems to have done the trick though!
Lesser = more!
Wednesday, November 11th, 2009Downtime, black platinum, and hypo enchi!
Saturday, October 24th, 2009Sorry about the downtime to anyone who tried to access the page the past couple of days. The server that was hosting our site went down and then there were a few hiccups getting it moved over to a new server. Everything should be working fine now, but if you come across something acting odd let me know! To make up for it, here's another lock we had earlier this week. I'm not sure if this girl will go or not as she's only a year old, but she's up to size so I figured I'd give it a shot. Sure enough, they locked up. Cross your fingers for black platinums!
Also, just thought I would mention that the hypo enchi HAS been produced. The Bells from Reptile Industries had one for sale at Daytona this year, but unfortunately no good pictures of it surfaced. SES Reptiles, whom I believe are located in Sweden, also produced one.

Saturday, September 5th, 2009It’s been a long time coming…
Saturday, May 30th, 2009This is a sight I've been waiting to see all season, and it looks like he finally pulled through. This is our little lesser boy we got last year. I've been pairing him up this whole season, but until now we haven't actually caught him locked up with anyone. It's about freakin' time!
