Raising Feeder Rats:
Information about Breeding, Food and Housing

For the Norway Rat and the African Soft Furred Rat

Unfortunately, Metal Monkey Exotics no longer keeps or breeds Norway and ASF rats!

In these pages I hope you will find some useful information to help you raise rats as feeders. We used to take care of African Soft Furred rats, and the Domestic Norway rats. If your just starting out, or have been doing this for years, I hope you can take something away from these pages and put it towards having a successful colony for years to come.

If you find anything out of the ordinary or something that you know is completely false, please send me an email or comment, and I will do my best to fix the error as soon as possible.

If you have any questions you think I may be able to answer, (or you’d rather that I venture out and find the answer), go ahead and email or comment below, I love researching these rats on all subjects, big or small and sharing what I find with others!

We’ve put a lot of work into each piece, and want to remind everyone that if you like what we do here, please make a link back to this page, rather than infringing on copyrights.

We wouldn’t steal your works, please don’t take ours. Thanks for understanding! 😉
