but blue bloods are even cooler! Love how these guys look when they’re going into shed. 😀
Clutch number two comes from a little girl who just refuses to break that 1500 gram mark. She’s five years old and has consistantly refused to gain much weight over the past couple of years so I figured I might as well breed her this year and see if laying some eggs will give her a bit of an appetite. She laid five healthy eggs and weighs in at just over 900 grams now! Hopefully she’ll kick on to a feeding frenzy now and double her weight over the summer…
Turns out both our super black Sumatran Short-tailed Pythons are girls! No wonder we haven’t been able to get any eggs from them for the past few years. Here’s the ‘male’ locked up with our light-headed boy Onyx. Unfortunately Onyx is now the only male P. Curtus we have, so here’s hoping for a hatchling that looks as good as the girls!
Connie here. I’ve made the mistake of moving image files in the Rat/ASF articles before I updated the pages themselves! I’ll work on that over the next few days (possibly weeks). Sorry for any lost fulfillment while exploring our website in the meantime.
